In many communities, Halloween is not only for children’s trick-or-treating, or adults having parties, it is also a time when youth tear their neighborhoods apart and wreak general havoc, and refer to it as “fun.” If you have teenagers– or if you happen to be one– there are ways in which youth who are too old for door-to-door candy-seeking can have a good time on this holiday without being destructive, and without putting themselves or others in danger with unsafe group driving or roaming around in a dark neighborhood.

During Sundays, back when you were still a kid and you lived with your parents, you always went to an outdoor party. The party was sometimes held at your own yard. Sometimes, it was held at some of the houses in your neighborhood. When you were old enough, that was when you learned that the people in your neighborhood took turns hosting the outdoor parties. That was a way of getting to know each other and just relaxing in the outdoors before another hectic week started.
